He took my hand and went to the car without any problems. He enjoyed seeing all the cars outside and that kept him pretty entertained.
When we got to the Big C, he did fine at first. He liked being in the cart while it was moving and looking around. He was still quieter than yesterday.
After we started shopping, he soon found the food in his diaper bag but was pretty easily distracted once it was out of sight. After we got a rice cooker for the foster family, we got some shoes, diapers and underwear. Around this time, Tut began asking for his milk. Since we were having lunch afterward, we tried to keep him distracted for a bit longer. We got some formula and were looking for the prune juice (his foster mom gives it to him for his digestion) when he saw the milk aisle and fussed louder. He had the most trouble in the checkout line with all the candies and other foods. Since we were standing still, he was not easily distracted and threw a bit of a temper tantrum. I managed to keep holding him, but he didn't really stop until we got to KFC and had lunch. He seems to have been allowed to eat whenever he wanted, which is actually something the guidebook says about Thai people. They generally snack throughout the day rather than only eating three meals. We will want to gradually work on reducing the snacking and keep the main eating to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Until then, we will definitely have lots of snacks in the diaper bag. :)
He seemed pretty happy to eat at first, but he gets full quickly. We also learned from today and the foster family yesterday that if you put a lot of food in front of him, he will stuff his mouth full and then usually spit it back out. He ate much better when he only had one fry or one nugget at a time. He does spit a lot of stuff back out. After he was done, I walked about with him a bit and he enjoyed sitting on the chairs that swivel. He seemed pretty happy while we were playing. He loves walking with each of us holding an arm and swinging him. :) Fortunately he is pretty light.
He managed to stay asleep all the way back to the hotel and up to the room.
He slept for about an hour until it was time to go back to the foster family for one last night. He woke up as I was carrying him down the hall and seemed pretty sleepy. I tried to put him down outside to see the fish, but he wanted to be carried. He was pretty out of it, but he went to the bathroom and out to the car without any crying.
After they left, we found the laundry by the Moon House restaurant that other families have been to. 30 baht per kilo is a lot better than the 30 baht per shirt charged by the hotel.
Tomorrow, Tut stays with us!
In response to the question about his nickname. It looks like Chat was the nickname the first foster family used, but the current foster family calls him Tut (taught). So he is most familiar with Tut.

He is so stinkin' cute!!! Glad things have been going well for you guys!
He's such a handsome little boy, King Tut! Hey, what toddler doesn't whine a bit for candy -- totally in the realm of normal. Sound like you guys are hitting it off, royally. Love the pix! You might want to invest in a case of redbull it sounds like though! We sure did drink a lot of coffee in those first weeks until we got used to his energy level.
He is adorable! We can't wait to meet him. It's a good thing you guys have such a large backyard for him to run around in.
I'm sooo glad Robby told me that you guys are updating here! I'm sooo excited to read the stories & see the pictures! Thank you for updating! I bet you guys cannot wait to get him all to yourselves! It's emotional seeing the first pictures of you guys with Tut. you guys have waited so long & now have quite the blessing! Your life will never be the same, it will now be even brighter!
The sleeping pose is too cute! Sounds like things are going pretty well. Praying the transition continues to go smoothly these next few days.

Katie you are beautiful as you hold your young son asleep in the car!
