Haku has been very tolerant and quiet. Partly because he still has kennel-lag. :) He has been sleeping a lot and is still a bit hoarse.
We had one friend stop by to drop off a cake. It was nice to see her and Tut became reserved while she was here so we don't seem to have any problems with too much friendliness.
Other friends brought us dinner and stayed to help us eat it. :) They have three kids, the youngest is close to Tut's age. He seemed to enjoy playing with some other kids, even if he didn't like the food. On Friday he didn't eat much.
My parents sent a welcome home musical card and Tut loved to listen to it over and over again until he broke it. :)
Friday night wasn't very good with Tut waking up crying often and only really sleeping well towards the end of the night. On Saturday we were all very tired and didn't want to do too much. I did get Tut to eat a decent amount of oatmeal for breakfast. He wasn't too sure about it at first, but he liked eating it out of my bowl. We also found that he likes bread and deli meats, but he doesn't like to eat them as a sandwich.
Saturday night we all slept probably the same or less than the night before, but at least Tut wasn't crying. We were all just laying in bed quietly, unable to sleep. I think Tut slept more than we did. On Sunday, we decided not to attempt church just yet. We made a trip to Target to get some more food options and melatonin for the adults. :) Tut does like hot dogs and he ate quite a bit on Sunday. We've been watering down his bottles, so I am sure he is missing those calories.
We got to skype with both of our families over the weekend. It was nice to be able to talk to them. Tut looks at the screen, but he doesn't quite seem to understand what is going on.
Sunday night we all slept much better. Tut only needed reassurance a couple of times in the night. The rest of the times he woke up, he was able to go back to sleep without one of us.
Today was Robby's first day back to work and I survived! :)
Tut has become very attached to Robby, probably more than to me at this point, so he wasn't happy that he was gone this morning. I got him to eat some cereal for breakfast before he cried for an hour and a half for 'Mommy.' After that, he cheered up a bit and played for a while. He cried off and on during the day, but it wasn't as bad as the first part. Since our days have been pretty short lately, waking up late and going to bed pretty early, we haven't done a nap since we've been home. After lunch, I tried to put Tut down and he was not interested. Two and a half hours of trying later, he fell asleep. Hopefully we get back into the nap rhythm soon. At his foster family's house, they said he slept in the late afternoon. I'd prefer a nap after lunch, so hopefully I can get him to cooperate. :)
By the time he woke up an hour and a half later, it wasn't too long before Robby was coming home. We had a snack and then left with Robby to get the tires on his car replaced. One was nearly flat so he used my car to go to work today. Tut seemed to enjoy Costco and having dad back in particular. :) Last night he fell asleep while Robby read to him and tonight he did the same. I think slowly but surely we are settling in!
