We got our I-800A approval in the mail on Friday! Exactly one month after we were fingerprinted. :) I actually got an email from Holt telling us they received our approval before I got home to check the mail. So that was a nice surprise to get in my email inbox. :)
I've been keeping an eye on all the news on the floods in Thailand. Sounds like it is really making life difficult for a lot of people. I've heard that the organization in Thailand that our agency works with is really busy taking care of all the foster families and birth families. Many of them have been evacuated and in some cases, the foster children have been removed from the foster families until living conditions are safer. One family who recently traveled to Thailand for their little one told me that several children are being housed in the organization's office and being cared for by the social workers. They definitely need prayer for the safety and protection of all the foster families, children and employees of the organization.
In spite of all the hardships in Thailand, I have found evidence of a Thai sense of humor. This is a funny and informative Thai video on the floods. :) The subtitles are a bit small, so you might see it better here.
