Travel Approval and Early Referrals!

My in-laws are going to China! They got their travel approval and leave on November 30th to get these little sweethearts! I can't wait to see pictures of them with the new kids. :)

To continue the string of good news, referrals for Thailand came early! They were due in December, but the flooding has completely disrupted the "normal" time lines for just about everything. I'm just glad they came early rather than late! I heard that there were five referrals this quarter, three boys and two girls. I'm sure it came as quite a surprise to the families who got their referrals so early. They certainly have something huge to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!

I also asked for an update on our place on the wait list now that the referrals are here. We are tentatively #10! They said not all the families have accepted their referrals, so it isn't final but probably what we are when they all do. :)

I'm very happy to be #10, but I must say they use different math than I do. When we first got on the list, we were #18. Then in September there were 4 referrals, so I assumed we were #14. When I asked for an official number later, just to verify, I was told that we were #16! Not sure how that worked exactly. Then, there were 5 referrals this time and we are #10! 16 minus 5 doesn't equal 10 to me, but I will certainly take it! :)

So, looks like March is a remote possibility, but we should most likely get a referral in June, if the usual trend of 5 referrals each quarter holds true. :) Yay!
