Holt approved our home study on Friday! Hopefully, they will be able to get all the documents in the mail tomorrow. :) So, now I'm just waiting for the rest of the documents and for the certificate of documentation to come back from the Texas Secretary of State.
While we are waiting, we've been working on the yard. Since we live in the desert, grass does not grow naturally and you have to buy sod if you want grass. Starting a lawn with grass seed is pretty much impossible. So we've been getting the yard ready for a patch of grass. Not too big, most of the yard will just be rock, but enough for a small child to play on. :) This weekend, my husband has been digging trenches for our little sprinkler system we're putting in. The parts have been ordered and hopefully they won't be too hard to put together.
Since I'm not so good with a shovel, or figuring out plumbing stuff, I've been working on the layout of the baby's room! :) We plan to keep our computer desk in the second bedroom and get one of those Asian screens/room dividers to block the computer from the crib/baby area. So I measured the room and all the stuff that will be in it (desk, crib, dresser/changing table, etc.) and it looks like it will all fit! I looked at a couple different layouts and if we stick the desk in the corner next to the closet and by the window, the screen should do a good job of separating the rooms. :) Yay!
Now, I just need to clean out the closet . . .

Caleb just asked me while I was smiling, and I told him that every time I read your blog updates, I just get more and more excited for you guys!!! Once your little one gets here, we will totally have to get our kids together to play! :-D
We will definitely have to get them together! She or he will probably be a bit older than your newest little one. :) When do you find out boy or girl?
Probably around the first week in September. Can't wait! I've been thinking girl, but I really have no idea, and we're excited about either gender. Maybe your little one will be right in between this baby and Caleb James; he'll only be around 17 months old by the time the baby is born. Rachel Anne will supervise all of them, and tell them what to do (sweetly, of course, in her oldest-big-sister kind of way). :-P
Yay! Let us know when you find out! It will be so fun to have all our kids play together some day. :)
