It's Raining!

It's raining! After a record breaking 118 days without precipitation, we have rain! :) Yay!

We also have a date for our first (and only) home study visit! :) June 21rst was unfortunately the soonest our social worker could meet with us. So we have to wait a couple of weeks. Hopefully he's a fast writer and it won't delay the home study too much. :)

Speaking of that, I sent in our employment letters today. So the only outstanding items are my medical form (should be in the mail tomorrow after my visit), our references and any background checks that haven't come back yet. :) I love checking things off my list!

I've also been working on the dossier documents. There's quite a few things we need for that, but only a few that we are directly responsible for. The rest, like the adoption home study, will be given to us by our agency.

This is the list of dossier documents we have to gather:

• Reference letters- requested them from our references
• Financial Statement- finished and notarized
• Income Tax Statement- got it
• Statement from Financial Institution- got one and the other should be in the mail
• Verification of employment- have both of them
• Birth and marriage certificates- got them
• Health certificates- have one, should get the other tomorrow
• Copy of passports- got them
• Royal Thai Government Application for Adoption- almost done

It is really nice to have that list mostly done. :) So far things have been happening pretty smoothly and quickly. I hope that continues!
