After lots of prayer, appeals to the State Department and several tries with the Chinese embassy, the paperwork snag my in-laws ran into has been dealt with! :) There's just one more document to run the gauntlet of state, United States and Chinese embassy authentication before their dossier is ready to be translated and sent to China! Hopefully, after that things will run smoothly and quickly so they can travel to get the boys sooner rather than later.
My college roommate's wedding was lovely. We had such a good time catching up and getting ready for the wedding. :) Hopefully I will have some pictures to post in the near future. I dropped my camera the second day in Houston and it doesn't seem to be working properly. :(
Our home study process is still going well. We have Robby's medical stuff and employment letter all finished. I had my appointment last week, but I have to go back in this week for the Tuberculosis skin test. Hopefully once that is done the medical forms can be put in the mail quickly. I also need to remind my boss about my employment letter this week. The only other things are the references and the background checks.
We were told last Monday that we have been assigned to a social worker and we should be contacted soon. I haven't heard anything yet, but hopefully this week we can start scheduling the home visit.
Other than that, I have been gathering the dossier documents that we are responsible for and we get to go back to Houston on June 11th for 10 hours of Hague mandated adoption training. :) How fun.
It is hard to believe that it has already been a month since we were accepted into Holt's program. May has really flown by. I hope we hear from the social worker soon!
