Home Study Visit Tomorrow!

At the beginning of June, it seemed like June 21rst was really far away, but it is almost here! We spent a good portion of Saturday cleaning the house, sweeping the back porch and getting the trash that always blows into our yard picked up. After we were done, it looked really good. :) Today, after a wind/sandstorm yesterday and our dog who likes to tear fluffs off his doggie bed, it doesn't look as nice. It should be pretty easy to touch up before tomorrow, but it is disheartening to see just how fast things get messy around here, and we don't even have kids to blame it on yet. :)

Since things have been kinda busy here and I've been focused on getting the house ready for the visit, I haven't really gotten nervous yet. I am sure time at work tomorrow will drag until I can leave. :)

In other good news, our last piece of paperwork for the home study was put in the mail last week. I'm hoping it will get there tomorrow so there is nothing on our end to hold things up once the visit is over. :)

We got our monthly newsletter from our Thailand program last Friday and there were seven children in this batch of referrals. Five were matched through the standard program and two were referred to the waiting child program. If you want to read about one of the referrals, click here. :) One day that will be us!
