Going Home!

Finally it is time to go home! I have really enjoyed seeing friends from this area, but I am very ready for this trip to be done. :)

One thing I regret is that I forgot to take pictures with all of my friends, so I guess some memories will just have to be in our heads. :)

Some of the first friends I saw came up on the first weekend I was here and we had a lot of fun eating Thai food, exploring the malls and entertaining the baby in my hotel room. :)

Then I got to hang out with one of my college roommates (think giant giraffe). :) We had a great lunch and dinner with church sandwiched in the middle. :) We missed the picture then, but I got one with her later in the trip when we went out for sushi! Yum!

During the second week, I caught up with another dear friend from college. Hard to believe it had been two years since we last saw each other. I saw her twice, but managed to forget to take a picture both times. :(

My second weekend here I headed to the Virginia Beach area to see my best friend since kindergarten! I'm so glad that worked out. We had a great time picking out a new fish for her tank which we named Noi (little one), eating more Thai food (yay!), watching Mansfield Park, walking along the beach and generally having a great time. Unfortunately, we never got a picture. :(

Also in the area were some more college friends and their adorable children. :) We got to have lunch after church and catch up a bit. We got a great picture while the kids were "napping." I don't know if any of them actually slept after I left, but they certainly weren't asleep while I was there. :)

One of the things we did during the trip was attend a Washington Nationals game. It was fun, even if I don't follow baseball. There was even some excitement in the last couple of innings. :) The home team still lost in the end, but they had some exciting home runs along the way.

I heard from a friend that my alumni association was going to have a fundraiser at Fudruckers while I in the area. It was perfect timing and so much fun! I got to see people I went to college with, see one of my professors and meet some of the current students and recent graduates. I'm really glad that worked out. :)

As a result of seeing some friends I hadn't kept in touch with at the fundraiser, I got to go to church with them the next Sunday! :) It was a lot of fun and there were a couple of other people at the church from PHC too. We went to lunch at a Korean BBQ and it was really good! I don't think I've had Korean food before, but it was really good and the company was great.

It has been hard to away from home for so long, but I tried to make the best of it and seeing friends really made things easier. :) Thanks everyone!

Yes, I actually did. And even though I brought a book, I never took it out of my bag. :)
