We are already three months into the wait! When I think about how summer is already almost over and how fast August flew by, it seems like the time has gone by very quickly. When I think about the fact that we probably still have 6-7 months to go before we get Chat, it seems like time is moving very slowly. I guess it is all perspective. Since I will be in training practically all of next month, I think the time will pass by quickly for me, but it will still be hard on Chat's birthday.
Now that we have our updated I-800A, at least we are ready for unexpectedly early travel. :) And with the latest measurements, I'm pretty comfortable saying that Chat will still be in 24 month sizes when he comes home. It is nice to be able to plan for that.
An exciting thing is that our painting is done. :) We really like the Voyage of Life series by Thomas Cole, so we thought it would be fun to collect reproductions of the paintings as we go through life. You can see the series here. We actually bought Old Age first, partly because the color scheme matched our apartment at the time and partly because we didn't want to wait until we were old to buy it. :) But we thought it would be fun to buy Childhood when we had our first child, to hang in the nursery. :) So it should be on its way soon. Pulling little pieces together for his room like the painting helps keep the wait bearable. That and reading about the travel of other families adopting from Thailand!

That's about the coolest way to decorate a baby's room I've ever heard : ).
One thing I found out about size 24 months is that the clothing is made for fitting over a diaper. 2T is slimmer and works better for my skinny Panda bear. Levi is even almost too small around for 24 months when it comes to pants. Both boys do well in 24 month shirts.
Wish I could see the nursery in person. Hope you post pics when you hang the painting.
Good to know. :) I will post some pictures when it is here.
Good to know that Katie. I would love to see pictures of the nursery. I can't wait to he is home and all settled in so I can visit!(that is if I have the means to travel :) )
When the nursery is done, I will definitely be posting pictures. :)
