Not this child

We got the decision from the adoption committee today, and they decided the other family was best for this little boy. It is disappointing, and the whole process this last week or so has been very emotionally draining, but in the end we did want him to have to right family. Now I'm just trusting that this is God's answer and moving on.

So, we are back to the timeline of a referral probably in March or June. But, we will definitely be keeping an eye on the waiting child list. This experience has shown us that we need to stay open to that possibility. :)

Now we are planning to go to Chick-Fil-A for dinner since neither of us feel like cooking and their shakes sound wonderful to me. :) Thanks for everyone's prayers! Keep praying that God will bring the right child to us in the right time.
