The adoption committee meets every Thursday and they will be reviewing our request and the request of one other family to adopt the little boy I mentioned, tomorrow. Over the weekend, we filled out some additional questionnaires and yesterday we talked with the head of the Waiting Child program. We went over some questions she had about our home study and the questionnaires so she could get to know us better. She will be the one presenting us as well as the other family to the committee and she wanted to be able to represent us to the best of her ability.
It is very stressful at this point, just waiting and knowing that it is out of our hands. I do feel like they know enough about us in order to make a well informed decision about which family is best for him. So, I'm just trying not to think about it. Especially trying not to think about what happens after we hear what decision they make. Either I will be happily getting the referral paperwork together and planning our first care package, or contenting myself with the fact the God knows best and that we are # 14 on the list and we will get a referral soon enough.
I hope today is busy at work.
