Almost Two Months Home

It is hard to believe that I haven't blogged in nearly a month! It is also hard to believe that we have been home almost two months. We have our first post placement visit soon and I have been looking through pictures to choose which ones to send. I really love the ones taken by our photographer. Eventually she will have a website here. :)

These are my favorites.

Recently we had visits from my family and some of our college friends. Tut loved meeting new people and had a lot of fun. 

He loves playing in the cardboard house that we made. :)

Tut loved having his uncles read his favorite book.

The zoo had a splash park. It was very welcome on a hot day.

Tut had a great time getting up close to all the animals. 

We went hiking at Hueco Tanks and found a cave with some pictographs. It was a long hike, but a lot of fun.

We went swimming in the hotel pool a few times. Tut learned to jump in from the ladder. :)

Tut got a few new trucks from Grandma and Grandpa. He has been having a lot of fun with them.

Tut has come a long way with his English and learns new words all the time. Since we went to the zoo with my family, he has been using several different animal names including Lion and Giraffe. One day he surprised us by pointing to the letter E on a sign and telling us what it was. :) Another day he started saying ABC. He loves looking at his First 100 Words book and asking what things are. It might be time to get an ABC book now too!

Currently, his favorite book is The Happy Man and His Dump Truck (thanks Anne and Nick!).

He loves dump trucks and often when he is playing with his trucks I hear "Happy man blah blah blah." :) His favorite thing to watch is a collection of Cars cartoons on Netflix. He asks to watch the "trucks" often. 

He often says thank you when he gives you something as well as when he is given something. :) He likes to line up his toys and organize things in his own way. Not always in the way we would prefer. :) 

Next week we get to visit Robby's family. :)
