One year ago, I received a surprise email in my inbox asking if we were interested in viewing the file of a new referral from Thailand. There was a short description of him in the email and it didn't take long to decide that we wanted to review the entire file. :) It was an agonizing, three hour wait as I waited for the file to be emailed to us. Finally, the email popped up in my inbox and I got to see the cutest little boy! :) We were blessed to have a lot of pictures of Chat and it was so hard not to stare at them for the rest of the day.
We had his file reviewed by an adoption clinic and my parents and thought and prayed about it for about a week. Then on Saturday, June 2 we decided that we were the right family for Chat and emailed Holt with our acceptance of his referral even though they wouldn't get it until Monday. :) Then on Monday, our match was officially approved by Holt! :)
It is hard to believe all that happened one year ago and now we are two weeks away from leaving to get Chat! I am so happy to be at this point. We've made a lot of progress this week and it is great to have a three day weekend. :) I can certainly use the extra day to get things ready!
The other exciting news is that Robby's parents got their travel approval for China this week, so they are leaving on Tuesday to get Tia and Jonathon! They will be in China for part of the time we are in Thailand. :) I can't wait to follow their journey and see some pictures. :)

Its fun to remember where you were a year ago and how far you've come. Now you're ready to get on that plane and finally get him! I'm sure you are celebrating his referral today with joy and anticipation.
