Today marks eleven months since we got our referral and we are so much closer to travel! Hopefully we will get our travel dates tomorrow or Friday, but at least by the end of the month. We are also expecting an update on Chat before the end of the month. I am glad to have those things to look forward too, but I hope they both arrive tomorrow! :)
We are preparing for the trip as much as we can without solid travel dates. I stopped by the store today and bought a backpack for the child we sponsor in Thailand. It is looking very promising that we will be able to visit her when we are in Chiang Mai. Anyone have suggestions for what a twelve-year-old girl would want? I was thinking of finding a book in Thai to get for her. I saw one website that sells Joni Erickson Tada's story in Thai. They also have a variety of illustrated Bibles in Thai. I'm also planning on adding some school supplies and fun stuff to the backpack. :)
So hopefully later this week I will have travel dates and/or new pictures to post! I can't wait!

The Joni book and Bible sound like excellent gifts. School supplies, magazines with pictures of other places and soap were also appreciated gifts for the people we met while traveling. Also, pictures of you and Robby. Food is good, too.
