Amazingly, when I checked my email this afternoon, our agency said they had received our Article 16 already! That is super fast, usually it takes a couple of weeks at least. We don't have estimated travel dates yet, but just based on the timing, I think we will travel for the first board meeting in June. That means we only have two months until we leave for Thailand!
I am so glad I got all the paperwork prepared before I left for the training. It has definitely been handy to know it is all ready to go and that my trip isn't slowing anything down. :) I have included a picture of the paperwork I prepared before I left. The piles just never end. :) Once we receive the Article 16 in the mail, we will submit it with the I-800 to USCIS for approval. Once it is approved, our tentative travel dates will become solid travel dates and we should be able to book our travel.
I had already planned to meet a friend for Dim Sum so it became a celebration dinner. :) Her baby is due in June too so it is exciting to be on a similar timeline
This morning I woke up to the below view outside my window. Earlier this month we got a day off when it rained in the city, but when it actually snows, they decide to keep everything open. Doesn't make sense to me. It was kinda pretty from the window though. :)
