Yay for a referral month! Of course we won't get one this month, but it is so much fun to read the referral stories of other families in the process and see the cute baby pictures. :) It also feels more real this time since we are on the list! I can't wait to see what our new number is after the referrals. :)
There are two blogs I'm watching for referral news this month. One is a private blog, but you can keep on eye on the other one here. It is so exciting!
Thinking about referrals has brought to mind our soon-to-be child. Most children seem to be around 6-9 months old at time of referral. So, if we get a referral in March or June, our child could be anywhere from due in three months to three months old right now! I've been definitely praying for a healthy pregnancy, uneventful birth and healthy infancy. Your prayers are greatly appreciated for our child, birth mother and foster family.
I'm also excited for the families seeing progress from Bangkok now that the Nativeland Tour (tour for Thai adoptees) is over. I believe the tour only happens every four years, so we shouldn't have to worry about delays from it when we are going through the post-referral paperwork stage. I hope all the families who were experiencing delays with the 1rst Approval can travel before Christmas!
