Naturalization Ceremony and New Photos!

This week we got some updated pictures of Jadon and a well baby clinic report. He's doing well, not too much change from his April report. He doesn't seem to be too into sitting on the blue chair this time. :) At least they got him to look at the camera which is almost more that we could get Tut to do this week.

Tut's naturalization ceremony was on Wednesday. He was pretty restless and, other than this picture, he was not interested in sitting in his designated seat. Even if he was #1. :) This picture is actually a minor miracle because he wasn't intending to look at me.

He did not look at the camera for his picture with the certificate of citizenship and the acting director, but at least it is accurate for his personality. :)

This one turned out pretty well at the end of the ceremony. Fortunately, none of the USCIS people were near us during the ceremony because Tut kept referring to the American flag as the Thailand flag. :) We're working on the distinction and now he seems to understand that the American flag has stars, but the Thailand flag doesn't. He does have a good point that they both are red, white and blue with strips. :)

Along with the certificate, we got a little packet with a copy of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, a little book with an overview of American history, an American flag, and some neat pamphlets with the national anthem and pledge of allegiance on them. Those will be fun to keep and use in the future.
Tut didn't really enjoy the ceremony at the time, but I'm sure he will like seeing the pictures in the future. :) I'm glad we got to attend instead of just getting the certificate in the mail.
