San Diego

We had a great trip to San Diego! The weather was great for most of the time and the wedding was beautiful! It was also so much fun to spend time with Robby's family.

We took our dog with us, which was fortunate because he really wanted to go with us. :)

We got to meet Luke and Levi for the first time. :) We got there early enough to have dinner with the family. It was a total of 11 hours door to door, and that included stopping for lunch and some other little rest breaks. Not bad really.

On Thursday we all met for lunch and the family surprised us by all wearing their Thailand shirts! We didn't know about it, so we didn't have our shirts on, but we got a great family picture. :)

Both sides of the family (bride's and groom's) went to eat at Souplantation for dinner. It was really good. I love the soups and the breads they have there. Especially the cornbread. :)

On Friday, we were in full wedding preparation mode, so we spent most of the day at Robby's Aunt and Uncle's house where the wedding took place.

We helped put together some of the flower arrangements in mason jars that were tied to the chairs along the aisle. It was such a good idea, very pretty!

Then for dinner, we hit Panera Bread. :) I wish we had one of those here.

On Saturday, we were too busy setting everything up in the morning, enjoying the wedding, and then tearing it all down to take any pictures. The wedding was beautiful. The weather was wonderful. It was a bit overcast in the morning, but then it cleared up to be a beautiful day. Since it was an outdoor wedding, that was important. :)

On Sunday, we all slept in. :) After being lazy, Robby and I went on a walk up Mount Helix to the park on the top.

We got a little turned around on the way back down, but we found our way and still basically made it on time to the brunch with the families and the bride and groom. :) It was at Souplantation! :)

Robby's mom was sick and stayed in bed all day, so we helped watch the kids during the afternoon. It rained most of the afternoon, but we had plenty of toys cars and stuff to keep them occupied inside.

Levi wanted to play with my camera, so we got lots of pictures of Luke. I think this one turned out well.

For dinner, we all went to In N Out Burger. :) Yum! The kids all got hats. So cute!

Early the next morning, we set out for home. The drive back wasn't too bad, but towards the end we were all ready to be out of the car.

While we were gone, we heard that a family had gotten a referral. Right now we don't know how many referrals there were, but it sounds like there were only a couple that were referred through the standard program. Most of the children were sent to the waiting child program. So, we may only move up a couple of spots. Hopefully later this week we will know our new number.
