2012 is here! It is hard to believe that this last year went by so fast!
It seems like just last month that we went to Costa Rica, learned that we would have two new little brothers and went to my sister's wedding reception, but those were each more than six months ago. This month will mark nine months since we applied to adopt from Thailand. It seems like this year really flew by. Which is a good thing, since it already seems like March is forever away. :) But I know it will go faster than I think.
I am definitely excited about this coming year. Sometime, hopefully within the next six months, we will know who our child is. That will definitely be the highlight of the year.
Another thing we are looking forward to is our vacation with our college friends. :) The first part of the trip will, at the very least, be an adventure. We are going to hike the Grand Canyon. When I say "hike the Grand Canyon," I mean that we will be hiking down to a campground at the bottom, spending the night, and then hiking out the next day. I don't know how much sleeping will actually happen, especially since it will be February and they don't allow campfires, but as long as I can drag myself back out of the canyon the next morning, I'll be fine with it. :) Assuming we survive the first part of the trip, we plan to recover from our long hike in Las Vegas! Anne and I will definitely be hitting the spa while we are there and we plan to eat lots of good food (at outrageous prices) and see a show. It will be a fun trip and a good babymoon. :)
Another highlight of the year will be going to my sister-in-law's wedding in March. :) We will get to see lots of family, including meeting Luke and Levi for the first time.
So far, the rest of the year is pretty open. Since we don't know exactly when we will get a referral, we don't know when we will travel. Although at this point, it will probably be in 2013. That will also be a good year. :)
Happy New Year!

SOOOO jealous you guys are all vacationing together again!!! Feels like we haven't seen you all in ages. :-) We need to plan a big Goof Troop reunion on the East Coast sometime, so all our kids can play together and we adults can catch up!
It has been a long time! After we get our baby from Thailand, we will definitely have to make a trip to the East Coast! :)
Your trip sounds so fun! Let me know how hiking the grand canyon goes. I have always wanted to do that. (I've hiked part of it, but never all the way to the bottom.)
I will let you know how it goes and will definitely post pictures when we get back! :)
